1. OUR SERVICE
Dust And Shine Cleaning Agency ("Dust And Shine") serves as an agency connecting clients with independent contractors who provide residential cleaning services. We facilitate scheduling and payments but do not directly employ the cleaners.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To use our services, you must be at least 18 years old and agree to these terms.
3. PAYMENT
Prices for cleaning services are listed in Canadian dollars and include taxes. Payment is due within 48 hours upon completion of the cleaning service.
4. SERVICE DETAILS
4.1 Service Scope: At Dust And Shine, we offer a variety of residential cleaning services, each of which is comprehensively detailed on our website for your convenience. Our range of services includes regular recurring cleans, deep cleans, move-in/move-out cleans, and Airbnb cleaning services, tailored to meet the unique needs of each residential space. It's important to note that each cleaning service is executed by an independent contractor, who is experienced and equipped to deliver high-quality cleaning according to our standards. 4.2 Additional Requests: We understand that you may have specific cleaning needs or preferences. To ensure we meet these requirements, we kindly ask that you communicate any special requests or additional cleaning tasks in advance. This allows us to plan accordingly and ensure that the independent contractor is prepared to meet your specific needs. Please be aware that additional services may incur extra fees, and we will provide a clear and upfront cost estimate for these additional requests.
4.3 Garbage: During our cleaning services, all garbage collected will be neatly gathered and bagged. However, it is the responsibility of the client to dispose of this garbage. Dust And Shine does not provide off-site garbage disposal services. We recommend clients arrange for suitable disposal methods for the garbage collected during our cleaning sessions. This policy helps us focus exclusively on delivering the highest quality cleaning service within your residential space.
4.4 Unsafe or Risky Cleaning: The safety of our cleaning professionals is paramount. Therefore, certain areas within a home that are considered unsafe or pose a risk to the cleaner's safety will not be included in our cleaning services. These areas may include, but are not limited to, hard-to-reach spaces, chandeliers, areas with biohazardous materials, pest-infested spaces, locations with animal waste, or areas under heavy furniture that cannot be safely accessed. Our cleaning professionals reserve the right to evaluate and decline to clean any area that they deem hazardous.
4.5 Cleaning Of Walls: Please note that our cleaning services do not include the complete washing or scrubbing of walls. This policy is in place because cleaning walls can be risky, potentially leading to damage to the paint or structural integrity of the wall. Spot cleaning of walls to remove light marks or dirt may be performed at the discretion of the cleaner, but any extensive cleaning that involves significant washing or use of harsh chemicals will not be undertaken. We recommend seeking specialized services for complete wall cleaning to prevent any potential damage.
4.6 Exterior Cleaning: Please be aware that Dust And Shine's cleaning services are exclusively focused on the interior of residential properties. As such, we do not offer exterior cleaning services. This limitation includes, but is not limited to, the cleaning of external windows, outer walls, roofs, driveways, patios, decks, and gardens.
5. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS
5.1 Role of Contractors: Dust And Shine's cleaning services are provided by independent contractors. These individuals are not employees of Dust And Shine but are selected for their expertise in residential cleaning. While we facilitate the connection between clients and these contractors, the actual cleaning services are independent of Dust And Shine's direct employment structure.
5.2 Contractor Responsibility: Each independent contractor engaged through Dust And Shine assumes full responsibility for the manner in which they carry out cleaning services. This includes the provision of all necessary cleaning supplies, equipment, and transportation required to perform the service. Contractors are expected to maintain high standards of professionalism and efficiency in line with Dust And Shine's quality expectations.
5.3 Liability: Dust And Shine acts as a facilitator between clients and independent contractors and is not liable for any acts, omissions, or misconduct committed by these contractors while providing their services. Any issues or disputes arising from the conduct of a contractor should be addressed directly with the contractor. Dust And Shine remains committed to ensuring customer satisfaction and will assist in resolving issues where possible, but legal responsibility resides with the individual contractors.
6. DAMAGES AND LIABILITY
6.1 Reporting Issues: Clients must report any service-related issues, including property damage, within 48 hours of service completion. Detailed descriptions and photographic evidence (if available) should accompany these reports to facilitate a swift and effective resolution process.
6.2 Contractor Liability: Independent contractors are solely responsible for resolving any service-related issues, including damages incurred. They are expected to engage directly with clients in the event of damage, either through repair or appropriate compensation.
6.3 Damage Assessment Procedure: Upon receiving a damage report, an objective assessment process will be initiated. This may involve a joint review by Dust And Shine representatives and the contractor to determine the cause and extent of the damage. The objective is to ensure a fair and transparent resolution process for all parties involved.
6.4 Resolution and Compensation: In cases where the contractor is found responsible for damages, they are required to provide an appropriate resolution. This may include repair services or financial compensation for the damages caused. The mode and extent of compensation will be determined based on the assessment of the damage.
6.5 Client Cooperation: Clients are expected to cooperate fully during the damage assessment and resolution process. This includes providing access to the damaged area, facilitating communication, and avoiding any actions that might exacerbate the damage.
6.6 Limitation of Liability: Dust And Shine's liability in service-related issues is limited to the role of mediator between the client and the contractor. Dust And Shine is not financially liable for damages caused by contractors but will assist in the resolution process to ensure client satisfaction.
6.7 Insurance: Independent contractors have their own liability insurance to cover potential damages. Clients are also advised to maintain appropriate insurance for their property to provide an additional layer of protection.
7. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
7.1 Access and Safety: You are responsible for providing access to your property and ensuring a safe working environment.
8. CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
8.1 Notice Requirement: Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule.
8.2 Cancellation Fee: Late cancellations or rescheduling may incur a fee of $50 CAD.
